For Automation & Engineering Applications, LMI India provides advanced laser marking and scanning solutions designed for precision and efficiency. Our systems support accurate marking, identification, measurement, and traceability across diverse industrial automation and engineering processes.
We cater to diverse industries with advanced laser marking solutions for precise identification, coding, engraving, and product traceability.
A laser at 355 nm, made by converting infrared light to ultraviolet in a crystal (frequency tripling). The short wavelength is absorbed very strongly, so it does “cold marking” without heat stress.
Applications
Delicate electronics, medical devices, pharmaceutical and chemical packaging, food packaging film, earbuds and plastics. It also marks reflective metals like copper, silver and gold.
Key features
A gas laser (10,600 nm) that uses a CO₂, nitrogen and helium mixture in a sealed tube. Its long wavelength is absorbed well by organic materials.
Applications
Marking and cutting paper, cardboard, wood, rubber, resins, acrylic, glass and PET. Examples are cartons, bottles, glass wafers, weatherstripping and PCBs.
Key features
An infrared laser (1090 nm) that generates its beam by pumping light through rare-earth-doped glass fibres. It is built mainly for metal marking.
Applications
Marking stainless steel, aluminium, titanium and brass, mostly in automotive and high-volume production lines. Typical jobs include engraving, black annealing, high-speed 2D codes, etching, cutting and burr removal. Examples are bearings, engine blocks and key cylinders.
